This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Nintendo systems = one or two games per YEAR that are worth getting, and almost nothing else. It's why since the N64, if you're anything more than a casual gamer, Nintendo's a secondary system.
Frankly, I dunno how many more Mario-themed franchises I could take in a year, but I wish...

They are trying to compete better with Nintendo. The under $200 unit is bareboned:
The bare-bones Arcade unit -- it comes with no hard drive -- will be priced at 19,800 yen ($183), making it the first current-gen console to dip under the $200 level. Nintendo's Wii is currently priced at 25,000 yen ($230) in Japan.

Nintendo obviously owns the handheld market, so this is pretty exciting news. There have been several games I've played on the DS where I felt like two touchscreens would be so nice. I'm not sure how I feel about the widescreen part. Would it make a difference to me when I'm playing on such a tiny system? I don't know. Warning: the pic is just a...

Those are pretty significant changes, so we'd actually say that sounds more like a second-gen DS rather than another rev of the current hardware, but IGN says the rumored release date of April or May 2009 doesn't jive with a whole new unit. We'll see..."

This blog shows #15-20. The Virtual Boy, hooking up GBAs with the GameCube, Pikmin, etc. This is a great list and really does show that Nintendo comes up with some crazy, neat ideas. I will definitely be going back to that site to see what they think #1-14 are.

Anyways I hope you enjoy this list as i'm going post this list..."

I've heard the whole thing about how it's important to know how much profit per employee a company makes, but WHOA. From the article: "Each worker at money grubbers Goldman Sachs, for example, is worth $1.24 million. Google employees can "only" manage $626,000. But Nintendo employees? Every one of the 3000 workers at Nintendo Towers generates...

The DS Lite Limited Edition Pink, that is. Breast cancer is something that touches almost everyone. Most likely, someone you love among your friends or family will be devastated by breast cancer sometime in their lives. In this small way, you can help contribute to the fight against BR. And this is more fun than buying stamps, right?

I'm definitely going to get one of the DS's. They are adding wireless, a camera and music abilities. This should be great.

The report goes on to suggest that the internal camera could be used by certain titles and somehow incorporate them into gameplay. While there are no specifics on pricing, Nikkei Net says the new handheld should..."

No one has confirmed that this is an actual pic of the DS, but if it is, I am little surprised. I think I expected to see two widescreen aspect ratio screens. The implication seems to be that they would be both touch screens.
I wonder how good this could be for random stuff like web browsing and ebook reading...

I get BC stamps too. Not only does it help with breast cancer stuff, I also never have to pay attention to if prices go up or not. I realize I'm paying more out of pocket, but so be it!
