So it's with delight that we learn Majesco will be releasing a new Cooking Mama title this year, and an all-new one to boot...."

Oh, hell yes. As much as people hate on Jamie Oliver, the guy made cooking accessible for me. His recipes are both easy and delicious - a great way to get started cooking. I had hoped Cooking Mama would get people excited about cooking, and be a great game - unfortunately, it failed on both counts. This, I'm really looking forward to.

Hrm. Speaking of cooking-themed games...
This actually looks like it might be worth picking up, and more along the lines of what Cooking Mama should have been all along.

When developers get a good whiff of an innovative idea, it's not long before the clones start cooking. I'm really looking forward to this, and from the impressions, it sounds like it'll be really worthwhile. I'd like to see more of the gameplay, though.

i wonder what the likelihood of this game increasing one's prowess in the kitchen is?

I totally played the PETA version, but it was unintentionally hilarious instead of making me feel repulsed by the idea of cleaning and cooking animals. I cook a lot with meat, and once in a while, I feel squeamish, but I don't mind that they were once alive, as long as they are raised humanely and killed humanely.

The release highlights the more than 25 vegetarian-friendly recipes available in Mama's latest game, Cooking Mama World Kitchen, out this week for the Nintendo Wii.

Oh I love this one...PETA members are a joke.

Quote: "As everybody with a brain knows, PETA is an insane organization full of insane people with an insane agenda. However, they do love their videogames, so that makes them alright by us. The animal rights group has taken a significant interest in gaming lately, following its self-publicized Sega ad petition and spat with Cooking Mama. With this in mind, we figured it wouldn't be long before PETA starts singling out more videogames as evil anti-animal propaganda. After all, a great..."
